    Center For Policy Analysis

    Horn-Afric is an independent, non-profit regional policy think tank dedicated to addressing the Horn of Africa’s most pressing and interconnected challenges: fragile governance, violent conflict, climate shocks, and forced migration. We recognize that these crises are not separate but often reinforce one another in ways that trap millions in cycles of fragility and vulnerability.

    We champion a nexus approach. It guides our work and defines our identity. This way, we generate knowledge and advance policy solutions that capture the region’s complexity, bridge silos and inform integrated policymaking for peaceful and resilient communities and ecosystems in the Horn of Africa.

    Hassan Diriye: Executive Director and Founder

    Hassan Diriye is a seasoned policy and development communication specialist with decades of experience in governance & rights, conflict, climate change, and migration across the Horn of Africa. He has worked with leading international organizations as a community-based governance and rights specialist and researcher, and with the Government of Kenya as a climate change communications and advocacy expert.

    Passionate about leveraging research, development communication, and advocacy, Hassan drives systemic change and advances innovative policy solutions to address the region’s most pressing challenges.
